Soybean Meal

Soybean Meal is a byproduct of soybean oil extraction. It’s a high-protein feed ingredient commonly used in animal feed, especially for poultry, swine, and cattle. Soybean meal is rich in essential amino acids, making it a valuable source of protein for livestock.

Regular Soybean Meal is the most common type. It’s produced by extracting the oil from soybeans using a mechanical process. The remaining residue, which is primarily protein, is then dried and processed into meal. Regular soybean meal typically contains around 44-48% crude protein.

Hi Pro Soybean Meal is a higher protein variant. It’s produced using a similar process but with additional steps to remove more of the non-protein components, such as fiber and carbohydrates. This results in a meal with a higher protein content, usually around 48-52%. Hi Pro Soybean Meal is often used in specialized diets or for animals with specific nutritional needs.

Both types of soybean meal are widely used in animal feed due to their nutritional value and affordability. However, the choice between regular and Hi Pro soybean meal depends on the specific requirements of the livestock and the desired feed formulation.
